The living collection
These are the animals currently behind Introvertebrates — tarantulas and other spiders, an assassin bug, sun beetles, and Sonja, a Reeves’s turtle. Every photograph here comes from my own collection.
Every current entry uses a verified photograph. If a future app-synced record has no verified image, it will show a clearly labelled group silhouette—not a generic animal presented as that individual. How placeholders are handled.

Support colonies · documented separately
Feeder animals support the collection, but they are not presented as named residents or mixed into the featured-animal count. Their colonies can still be documented for nutrition, welfare, breeding, and traceability.
The public page stays at group level until each colony’s identification is documented. The Codex can retain feeding records without presenting feeder colonies as collection showpieces.
These profiles use my own archive photography, but the animals shown are not part of the current Introvertebrates collection.
